Free Online Ocean Health Workshop for Middle School Classes
About our Workshops
SSRES has partnered with Tru Earth, a Port Moody-based leading eco-friendly household product company committed to eradicating plastic from landfills and oceans, to bring this learning opportunity to schools.

The workshop is designed for middle school students in grades 6 - 8 and will run for approximately one hour. During the workshop, students will learn about the ocean, how our watershed functions, and the impacts of pollution on our natural environment. We will also discuss the ways we can keep plastic out of the ocean and promote a healthier ecosystem.

Our goal is to provide an interactive and engaging learning experience that can help students understand the importance of environmental stewardship. We deliver this engaging and enquiry-based virtual lesson through Zoom, which can be booked via Calendly, and with interactive questions via 'Kahoot!.'

This workshop is completely free, with thanks to funding from Tru Earth. We are simply passionate about educating young people about the importance of ocean health and pollution solutions.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to connecting and working together to spread awareness about our ocean's health!
